Founded in 2020, Midas Magazine is a student-led arts and culture magazine that focuses on artistry, culture, identity, and lifestyle while also serving as a place for students to share their voices with UNC Charlotte and the surrounding communities. I had the opportunity to work with Midas as designer for two issues.
The first issue I worked on was for their second issue of the 2022-2023 year and I was given the wonderful opportunity to design two articles: "Auras" and "Celestial" while collaborating with a team of talented writers and photographers. The theme of this issue was Pandora's Box.
'Celestial' received an Honorable Mention for "Best Magazine Spread" by the Associate Collegiate Press in 2023.
Midas Magazine launched their Spring issue of the 2023-2024 year where I had the wonderful opportunity to design four sections within the issue: Standing in The Headlights, When I Die, Bury Me in a Heart-Shaped Casket Pt. 2, The War on Weight, and Capital B as I continued to extensively collaborate with teams of multiple talented writers and photographers.
